Project Interdependence

What if the principles of ecological stewardship, equity, and justice we seek were in the roots of US Democracy all along?

Project Interdependence is a collective inquiry into the practice of interdependence. How can we practice interdependence in our political, economic and social systems as an antidote to the separation and hyper-individualism at the root of our current crises?

About Amelia

Amelia Rose Barlow has dedicated her life to exploring systems and practices of interdependence as an antidote to the separation and hyper-individualism driving the metacrisis.

For over 15 years, she has innovated at the intersection of climate solutions and institutional change, cultivating coalitions across New Economy and Rights of Nature movements, polycrisis practitioner circles, Indigenous alliances, and innovation studios. Her impact spans from grassroots initiatives like Black Hills reparations, catalyzing the Climate Emergency response, to institutional transformation at Obama 2008, Google X, and the Council on Foreign Relations.

Her journey as a synergist began early. As the daughter of an early internet pioneer and the descendant of Wyoming cattle ranchers, Amelia’s dual heritage shaped her unique ability to weave together seemingly disparate worlds to actualize regenerative futures.

Today, she works with some of the world's most influential organizations to create meaningful impact and regenerative solutions. Her work bridges Indigenous wisdom with modern systems, enabling powerful collaborations between unlikely allies – from front-line activists to institutional leaders, traditional knowledge keepers to technology innovators. Her extensive experience in building coalitions, designing transformative initiatives, and facilitating cross-sector collaboration positions her uniquely to help organizations address our planet's most pressing challenges.
